Course Description:
This is an introductory course in Wireless Networking. This course encompasses the design, planning, implementation, operation and troubleshooting of wireless communication. The material covers a comprehensive overview of technologies, security, and design best practices.

Course Objectives:

  1. Understand the similarities and differences between wireless networks.
  2. Implementation and configuration of 802.11 wireless devices.
  3. Understand the importance of wireless security policies and procedures.
  4. Become familiar with different software and hardware used for designing and trouble-shooting wireless networks.
  5. Complete hands-on work, written and oral presentations and complete standardized test.
