ECE 150 Constuction Project
For this project, you will be assigned to a 3-person team that must select a circuit or electrical device to construct, assemble it using proper soldering techniques, document it, and demonstrate it to the class. Although you do not have to design it, you must specify the required parts from the schematic diagram, build it and verify that it operates correctly.
You will be graded in five categories: construction quality, correct operation, documentation, team contribution, and presentation.
You may consult books, magazines, or internet sites for project ideas. BUT, kits are not allowed.
The CSE department will purchase parts up to a total cost of $15 under the following conditions:
- At least 3 teams must order their parts at one time. Be sure to order your parts early enough to complete the project.
- The parts are ordered through either Jameco or Digi-Key.
- The parts are ordered by the CSE department . No reimbursement for parts you purchased yourself is available.
Your team may spend more than $15 if you wish, but you must cover the extra cost yourselves.
The project may have some digital components, but must be primarily an analog design. Do not pick one so complicated that you do not understand how it works!
