1. Students are required and responsible to make contact with their mentors at least three times during the semester, either by phone, in person, fax, letter, or e‑mail.
2. The student and mentor will mutually decide upon at least three of the following requirements that the student must fulfill to receive full credit for this portion of the course.
a. Review and critique a current resume prepared by the student.
b. Identify career objectives and prepare one or more possible career plans.
c. Visit with the mentor at his/her place of business, where possible.
d. Perform a mock job interview in person or over the phone.
e. Identify, read, and discuss a business related book.
f. When it is possible, meet and discuss professional versus family issues and priorities. Include spouse
where appropriate.
g. Identify and discuss a list of business gems ‑ "do's" and "don'ts" for success in the market.
h. Discuss and prepare a summary of the impact of technology on current and future business practices with
which the mentor is associated.
i. Other activities as approved by the B321 instructor.
