Kitchen, The Smith Family Log House

The kitchen and living room area of the Smith Family Log House.  Joseph Smith recorded that after the vision of God the Father and Jesus Christ in the sacred grove, he returned back to the Log House.  He then said, "And as I leaned up to the fireplace, mother inquired what the matter was. I replied, 'Never mind, all is well--I am well enough off.' I then said to my mother, 'I have learned for myself that Presbyterianism is not true.' " (JS History 1:20).
