About me:

If you are interested, I have taught communication in the BYU-Idaho Department of Communication for nearly a decade. I have been a practicing journalist, including at the Salt Lake City Deseret News and at The Utah County Journal. I worked in marketing as editor of Enrich Magazine. I received the Kiplinger Fellowship at The Ohio State University -- given to only eight journalists nationally. I learned the basics of investigative reporting. I am ABD at the University of Maryland (All but Dissertation). At Maryland, I spent two years teaching a class in political communication with David Broder, the lead political reporter of The Washington Post. My research interests include Philo T. Farnsworth, media bias, interest group theory, Spiro Agnew, the Book of Mormon. My wife and I have four children, Ethan, Sophie, Isaac and Adam. We feel blessed to be here.
