William Brugger, Ph.D.

Born and raised in Southern California, Brother Brugger converted to the LDS Church in 1983. Following a mission to Paraguay, he earned B.A. and M.A. degrees in English from Brigham Young University, as well as an M.Phil. and Ph.D. in British literature from Drew University. Teaching, research, and writing interests include Shakespeare, British Romanticism and Victorianism, LDS literature, and rhetoric/argumentation. Prior to his full-time teaching position at BYU-I in 1993, he was a technical writer in Utah. He's taught at Brigham Young, Utah Valley, Seton Hall, Fairleigh Dickinson, and Drew Universities. He's married and the father of six children.
