Once you have completed your InDesign document follow these steps to save it as a PDF:

1. Go to File, then choose Export
2. Enter a filename and choose a location to save your PDF
3. Under "Save File As," choose Adobe PDF
4. Hit Save
5. Choose settings in the next window. It is helpful to check "View PDF after exporting"
6. Choose Export
