Brother Grant's Introduction to Literature Objectives:

1)  Students walk away different (in a good way) than they were before the class started.

2)  Students learn to see, to understand, and to extricate, for individual use, truths and principles found in literature—then they try to apply the truth or principle in their individual lives.

 3)  Students develop an ability to synthesize these truths and principles with other school activities and in life opportunities that they may think they do not have time to attempt.

 4)  Students find fun in literature, reading, and exploring truths and principles.

 5)  Students develop an understanding about curiosity, variety, and vision so that they can use these truths and principles to increase their testimonies, their opportunities in family and career, and their development socially.

 6)  Students gain charity and the desire and opportunity to serve each other and others.

 7)  Students get exposed to some conventions and characteristics of literature.
