How Do I...
Estimate My Grade?

Instructions for estimating your grade:

  1. Compute your overall percentage in each of the areas of the course:  homework, tests, projects, character development, etc.  You may have to estimate scores for any remaining assignments, character development, etc.  Here's how to compute your overall percentage in each area:
    1. Add the total number of points you have earned (or expect to earn) in each area, and enter this information in the table below.
    2. Add the total number of points possible in each area.  Record this below.
    3. Divide the total number of points earned by the total number of points possible, to get the proportion of points earned.
  2. Multiply this proportion by the the weights for each area (given as a percentage on the course outline) by the proportions you obtained in Step 1.
  3. Add these weighted percentages.  This will give you an estimate of your overall grade in the course.
