Brent M. Strong joined the Ricks College/BYU-Idaho Foreign Language Department in August 1989 as an instructor of German. Born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho, he graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. degree in German. In addition to his B.A. degree, he holds an M.S. degree in German from Georgetown University and a Ph.D. degree in Foreign Language Education from The Ohio State University. He is married to the former Karolyn Ashby of Provo, Utah, and they are the parents of six children.
