travel to St George. On the way, please note that we will see some of the most productive agricultural ground in North America, particularly when we drive through the orange groves (and mandarin orange groves) Hopefully there will be trees in bloom, and we can enjoy the pleasant fragrance. We will also be going through the bottom edge of Death Valley, and right through the Mojave Desert, so we will go from sea level, over thousands of feet of elevation, back to near sea level, then again over mountains that are several thousand feet in elevation. Don't forget to let your ears pop!
stay in Ramada Inn in St. George
Saturday 4 April
We will listen to morning and afternoon sessions of conference while we travel
Return to Rexburg by approx 6 pm
A few tidbits to follow:
Please be considerate of your fellow passengers. Cell phones are great, even encouraged, but please don’t spend the day talking on a cell phone. You are on this trip to see and learn, and if you are on the phone you will miss many opportunities to make better friends. Also, we are required to dress according to the honor code while we represent the University, so please, no immodest attire. There will be opportunities to stroll along the beach and swim at the hotels. There is a light breakfast available each morning at the hotels.
